This little fella is near and dear to me!  I've photographed him since he was 8 days new and it's been such a joy to watch him grow up from behind my lens.  Looking forward to seeing him grow and learn and being right there to capture it all!

You could almost feel the love between this family by just spending a little time with them!  I had so much fun with them and it made my heart smile to be able to capture some cherished memories for them...

Best Face of 2013- I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

I had such a difficult time choosing which photo to submit for this challenge!  I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to photograph so many lovely faces in 2013. But I finally decided on this one....I think it speaks for itself! :-9 hehe

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge- Jump!

My entry is of an awesome senior I photographed last year.  She was so much fun...so spunky and full of life.  She is a dancer with so much passion and it made me want to jump when I captured this shot! Just look at her...so fierce! And she definitely rocked this jump!

We have been having some terrible weather here this summer, but between thunderstorms, I managed to capture some photos of this beautiful family!  This is at their family farmhouse that has been in the family for many generations, so it was a special place to them.  I enjoyed watching them just be a family in this simple, picturesque setting! 

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge- Summer Fun

I have so many images of summer fun in my collection that it was difficult choosing which image I wanted to use for this month's photo challenge. As I looked through all of the beautiful images already entered at I Heart Faces , I noticed that there were no images of baseball!  And really, what is summer without baseball??!!  So I scrapped the idea of a photo with sprinklers or a swimming pool and instead went with the great American pastime...BASEBALL!  This image is of my little guy at his first "big boy" baseball game...a Cleveland Indians game.  He was so excited and his eyes were filled with wonder and awe as we entered the stadium and he took it all in!  This image is of him at field level looking up into the enormous stadium.  Maybe he was thinking that he could some day be playing on this field, with all these fans, or maybe he was just thinking "man this is a ginormous baseball field", but either way, I just love the look of awe in his eyes in this shot! 
Every time I see this image, I get nostalgic and think of my own childhood of watching baseball.  And I just can't help but think to myself, "Take me out to the ball game...take me out to the crowd.." (you know the rest...and now you'll be singing it to yourself too! haha)

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge- "In the Distance"

This was an image I captured on our trip to Nevada to visit my sister and her family.  It was dusk in the valley and the kids were playing on a dirt mound...let's face it, what kid doesn't love to play on a dirt mound??!!  I just loved the mountain ranges there...the setting sun created the most beautiful lights and shadows on them!  This image is so special to me because it's of my son and his 2 cousins...the best of friends! The bond between cousins is something to cherish and I'm so happy to have captured this moment of them.....dirty and happy and silly!
