Easter just isn't Easter without some colored eggs!

My family has a tradition of getting together to color Easter eggs, as I'm sure most families do.  We had such a fun time and really got our creative juices flowing to see what kind of egg decorating we could do!  Some were cracked and peeling, some were bright and beautiful, some had flowers, some had glitter and paint, but no matter what they looked like, they had a way of bringing us all together for laughs and love!

Not only were the eggs dyed, but so were our hands!!

We took the opportunity to tie-dye and old t-shirt while we were at it!  We just used the shirt to wipe our hands and clean the table and this is the end result!!!  Aren't we innovative?? :)

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge- Happiness

When I heard the photo challenge theme for this month, I thought of many things that bring me joy and happiness...and the many photos that I have in my collection that embody happiness. The one that came to mind was this photo....I can't help but smile when I see it!  (hehe...I'm smiling now as I type!)  Nothing makes my heart happier than this silly little boy...he's sweet, he's goofy, he's sometimes ornery and he calls me "mommy"....nothing brings more joy to my life than him!   I just love this photo because 1. it shows my little guy's personality so well...the silly look on his face and the way the flowers seem to be joining in as they lean with him, and  2. who isn't happy when they see sunshing and Spring flowers??!!
