Baby K - Newborn

Is there anything more precious in the world than a newborn baby??!!  I'm fairly certain that the answer is no.  This little guy, just 8 days new, was such a sweet baby and beyond adorable!  Although things didn't go as planned and he didn't really want to sleep the whole time (we had a bit of a screaming and crying fiasco as the session started), we managed to capture some truly special moments as he calmed down and finally dozed off to sleep.  As I await the arrival of my own bundle of joy, this session not only made me excited for these new parents, but also for my husband and I as we will soon be welcoming our own bundle!  The tiny fingers and toes, the soft skin, the fine hair...ah, it's bliss!  I just wanted to eat him up...well, not literally, of course!  :)

As I mentioned, there was a bit of a fiasco when the session first started! :)

I LOVE this one of the baby bits....these little parts are what we want to cherish forever!

Gotcha!!!

Just wanted to share a few photos I captured from a day of water fun sponsored by our church and local fire department.  The children have so much fun playing with super soakers and being able to spray each other with fire hoses (with the help and supervision of the firefighters, of course).

C- Senior 2013

Senior sessions are a favorite of mine. Not only does it give me a break from chasing after the little kids that I normally photograph, but it also makes me nastalgic as I think back on my own young adulthood and preparing to enter the "real world". I love to capture these young people as they are on the verge of spreading their wings to fly! So much in store for them in their futures and I think it just just shows in their faces in their photos. This handsome young man was no exception.  He was just finishing up his senior year of basketball and preparingfor the future in college.  It was such a pleasure to be able to capture these last fleeting moments of his high school years.

S Family Maternity

Having a baby on the way myself, this shoot was very special to me in being able to capture the joys of expecting parents as they await their little gift from God.  It's such a happy time in any couple's life as they prepare to welcome a baby into their life.  They wanted to some photos of their fur baby, Layla, as well, so we tried to let her join in on the photo fun!  Needless to say, it was a bit hectic at times, but we managed to get a few with Layla cooperating!  :)
